How To Demand Your Customer’s Loyalty

How To Demand Your Customer's Loyalty

How to demand your customer’s loyalty.

Hi I’m Brian Pombo, we’re going to go through some simple steps here today on customer loyalty.

Just a very simple example of how to do it and then, if you can get the principle, the tactics become easy.

Welcome to Brian J. Pombo Live, we do this on a daily basis where we discuss business concepts either in the form of principles, strategies or tactics and today we’re going to be talking about a principle via a tactic.

And before we get to that, I just wanted to remind you, if you own a business or you’re an executive of a business, seven figures and above, go to BrianJPombo.com and check out some of our offerings there.

Also, if you happen to be in the self reliance field, meaning you’re an owner or an executive of a business that helps people to become more self reliant.

I have a special deal just for you over at DreamBizChat.com and it’s all about the dream business transformation. It’s something I normally charge $600 and above for, but for you, if you happen to be in the self-reliance field and you qualify, then you might be able to get it for free.

So go check that out at DreamBizChat.com. It’d be very helpful to you because it’s something you can walk away with and something you could put into play this year immediately after getting off the phone with me. Go and check that out.

Let’s talk about customer loyalty, because this is something that whether you’re a banker or a beekeeper, it’s the same thing.

Everyone should be focused on having your customers come back over and over and over again.

Now, if you’re not in a business where you have repeat customers, you need to get in that business because you’re probably spending all your time chasing the next new customer when, what you should be is keeping your current customers so happy that they’re the ones that are going out getting new customers for you.

That’s the secret sauce right there.

I’m going to show you an example of this.

This is a local company. A, they’re name is Kelly’s Automotive. You can go and look them up, I’m here in Grants Pass, Oregon. By the way, I’m here in the Orange Office. And for those of you who have been watching for a long time, you’re familiar with the Orange Office.

This is in town of Grants Pass, away from my main headquarters.

And you’ll notice that people who have been to the Orange Office know that it’s not completely orange.

There’s some green parts of it too. So I’m here, right in between just for this special segment today.

Like I was saying, Kelly’s Automotive, these people are located in Grants Pass. They also have a garage over in Medford, Oregon and I’m not sure if they’re anywhere else, but they have amazing marketing systems set up and even though I know it’s manufactured, it’s still something to me as a customer.

I know it means something to other customers too.

So how often do you get a hand written card from anybody in the mail anymore?

This is actually from a couple of years ago and I held onto it because they do this quite often, but this was one I’ve always wanted to talk about and this is one they sent out during the month of February.

It’s got the hearts for Valentine’s Day and on the inside it says Kate, thank you. My wife’s name is Kate. She was the one that had taken one of our vehicles and it says, Kate, thank you for your recent visit.

We look forward to serving you in the future, Curtis and the crew.

Simple little writing, now I don’t think Curtis is the manager over there. I don’t think he’s the one that actually wrote this.

The way it looks, it looks like it was probably somebody else that wrote it. But simple, subtle. It doesn’t say anything detailed other than Kate’s name.

Nothing that would tell me that this person actually knew what they were even talking about. But they have it in the process to send out thank you cards on a regular basis for their customers.

When customers come in, what businesses do that anymore?

How many people in your own family or friends do that?

Your best friend. How often do you receive a written note about anything?

And you know what, it’s more important now than it ever was because it’s so rare and makes you stand out.

Something simple like this creates customer loyalty. I’m telling you, they’ve got multiple things that they do that take us back. Every time I have an issue with my car I go back to Kelly’s.

Do I think they’re the the best mechanics ever in the whole area?

I don’t know, because I haven’t bothered to go and look for another mechanic, because they’ve done well by me.

I’ve taken my car in there before, had an issue with it and they said, well, it wasn’t this other thing so we’re not going to charge you as much as we thought we were going to do. Things like that.

Things where they go the extra mile to show respect for the customer and that’s valuable. Simple little things like this show that they care enough.

It doesn’t mean that they care personally for me, they care about the customer in general and it makes me want to go back there.

Never have I received one of these from any other mechanic, let alone I can’t name very many businesses that I’ve ever received a thank you card from adding a little piece like this into your system, even if it’s completely manufactured, even if it’s not direct.

Now, if you’re in a one person business or a very small business, you’ll be able to write something like that and be able to put a little personal spin on it that really makes an impact and you don’t just do it to get the impact.

You do it to show appreciation.

You do it to show that you care and that you realize that person could take their business anywhere, because I can take my business anywhere.

But because subtle, simple little things like that, simple little processes that help connect you one way or the other with your customer, that’s a great deal. It’s worth it.

It makes me not even go price shopping.

It makes me not go and look for a higher quality.

I know what I’m going to get when I go to Kelly’s Automotive and if you’re smart, you’ll use tactics like this in a meaningful way, as meaningful way as possible, but instill them into your ongoing systems and you’re going to have a relationship.

You’re going to have customer loyalty slowly be built up.

That customer loyalty is priceless because the most expensive thing in any of our businesses is getting the first customer to pay the first money.

It’s getting that one person to spend money the first time.

Once you’ve got someone to spend money with you once, it’s easier to get them to spend money again.

As long as you haven’t completely messed it up. And even sometimes when you mess it up, if you’re apologetic about it and straight-forward about it and maybe give them their money back, oftentimes they’ll come back to you.

People appreciate genuine, sincere gratitude, and that’s all you need.

You just need a little bit of gratitude toward people and they’ll eat it up like nothing. You will demand their customer loyalty and it and you’ll deserve it. So hopefully that’s helpful to you.

We’re going to be back here tomorrow.

Like I said, we’re back here every day and coming back to you with higher quality recordings, hopefully, but you can go back and rewatch or re-listen to any of our old ones in any of the social media that you wish or in any podcast directory that you wish to hear these at.

You can go back and check those out. Also, we’ve got them going all the way back to the very beginning over at BrianJPombo.com so you have a great day.

In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

Are You Growing on Purpose?

Are You Growing on Purpose?

http://DreamBizChat.com

Are you growing on purpose?

Hi I’m Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live. Today we’re going to be talking about the purpose of purpose in your business.

The real question is, is one of the main things that’s holding back growth in your company, the fact that you don’t have a real purpose for every section of your company.

So if you take your company and you divide it up into sections and maybe you already have it worked out, your marketing, so on and so forth. But, however you would divide up your company into little sections, will each of the people in charge be able to say the purpose behind what they’re doing?

What is their purpose?

The reason why the book, Start With Why, by Simon Sinek. It really brings this into task on a large scale for your whole business.

But really it comes down to each individual piece of your business.

Why is everyone doing what they’re doing?

What is their purpose?

What is the long-term purpose?

What is the one thing that won’t change regardless of all the actions and all the concepts, all the ideas, the things that they’re going to be doing through time.

A lot of those things, strategies and so forth will change, but the purpose shouldn’t change and it’s the one thing I’ve seen that is one of the main impeachments to growth.

When I’m brought into a company, we take a look at everything that they’re doing and we take a look at the things that aren’t working and more often than not, when I sit down and I say, well, what’s the point?

Why are you doing this?

You will get 10 different opinions from five different people around the table.

Everyone’s got a different idea of why there may be a purpose behind it, but if everyone doesn’t agree on what that purpose is, is it a real purpose?

Is it a real why?

Is there a real reason why we’re moving forward with this and is that any way to actually be able to grow?

If everyone’s doing it for a different reason, if everyone’s doing it to a different end over and over and over again, oftentimes it’s company wide.

The company itself lacks purpose, but it really comes down to each individual person and each individual section of a company is what is your purpose?

And if you can’t answer that question, you need to determine what is the one thing that we aren’t going to change?

What is the one thing that will not change?

When that isn’t there, when it’s not agreed upon by everybody, then you have chaos and you have a lack of being in definition.

It’s the lack of direction.

I was just watching a documentary on the Walt Disney company and how, during periods of time, the one thing that you see that’s common, the periods of time when they had very difficult time growing and started going backwards in many ways was when they disagreed on what their purpose was.

There was a point at which, the executives of the company, their purpose was to save money and the people in the individual sections, imagineering and so forth. They wanted to make something emotional and something that would relate with people and all of the things that we think of Disney doing.

It wasn’t there though, because they did not have a cohesive purpose. There was not agreed upon purpose and without that agreed upon purpose, you can’t all move in the right direction and it will fight itself.

It’ll all fall apart in the long run. So hopefully you could see this within your own company and if you aren’t, you got to bring in a third party, bring somebody in to help ask these questions to really get everybody on the right track.

I’m one of these types of people that can do this type of thing.

If you’d be interested in having me come in and take a look at your company and help you to kind of assess whether you’re going in the right direction or not, what you already know, whether you’re going in the right direction, but find out why and find out how can we go in the right direction.

If that’s something you’d like me to do, I only work with certain types of companies and you could find out more over at BrianJPombo.com.

You can also, if you happen to be in the self-reliance field, meaning your company helps people to go in the direction of self-reliance in any way or fashion go to DreamBizChat.com.

DreamBizChat.com, a little concept there called the dream business transformation.

Kind of gives you an idea of how these things can help you. So hopefully that makes sense.

Today we’re providing you, not a live recorded video, but it’s recorded live.

It’s just recorded live here and not broadcast directly right away, which is okay because most people don’t watch me live anyways and hopefully the quality is a little bit better.

So let me know whether you like this and whether you’re getting a nice clear picture coming over to your end of the internet.

Hey, come on back tomorrow, we got more topics to go over, more ideas big and small in terms of how to make your business better and how to make your life better because you’ve got a better business.

So have a good one. In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

Repeating Your Message

Repeating Your Message

http://DreamBizChat.com

Repeating your message.

Hi I’m Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

A real quick concept today and that is the concept of repeating your message.

If you’re doing any form of content marketing, which if you’re not, you should be okay.

Watch some of my other videos on content marketing over at BrianJPombo.com and you can learn a little bit more and see how it would fit your business. Because it’s definitely something you should be doing.

Content marketing is taking content, either video, audio, word content or picture content and spreading it out online content that can be consumed. Then somewhere along the line directs people back to what you’re selling, whatever it may be, whatever, whether you’re literally selling something or whether you’re selling an idea, a concept, something that you want people to do.

So that’s what content marketing is and you ought to be taking part in it, on it at least daily basis in your company, in your organization, whatever you’re doing, promoting yourself, whatever it be.

So that’s content marketing.

Now, the idea is if you’re doing stuff on a daily basis, there might be room for repetition in there. You might be saying the same things over and over again, especially if you have a real clear focused message that you’re trying to get out there.

In fact, I’ve probably mentioned this way too many times about the idea of how you should be repeating yourself.

You should be saying it again. Say it again a different way, but you ought to really play it again, Sam, and you ought to do it over and over and over again.

The plain fact of the matter is not enough. People are paying attention to you at any given time.

Let’s say you’re doing video, even if you’re getting thousands of views, these are not the same people viewing it every single time. Just because you have thousands and thousands of subscribers on YouTube does not mean those subscribers are watching every single video.

They just aren’t doing it.

Every once in awhile, especially if you have really engaging content, you will find people that will go through and watch every one of your videos. But you start doing videos on a daily basis.

People will not have a chance to catch up. They won’t do it. It won’t happen.

Even if they do your, the whole point of doing videos is that, or any form of content is that you’re encouraging some form of action.

If they haven’t taken that action, then the repetition is needed. You have to repeat it over and over. And I’m not saying say the same phrase over and over again, but talk about what you want them to do.

Talk about the same concepts over and over again until it sinks in. So for example, every episode that you can find within these videos of Brian J. Pombo Live, just about every last one.

I’m discussing something specific that I want the audience to do. For this first year, most of it’s been about DreamBizChat.com.

Have you been to DreamBizChat.com whether it applies to you or not. Most of the time I focus on talking to executives and business owners in the self-reliance space.

So meaning, you have products or services that help people to become more self reliant.

Now, if you fit that, I always encourage you to go to DreamBizChat.com and check out the concept of the dream business transformation.

It’s absolutely free if you qualify. So you go to DreamBizChat.com go check it out.

Now, how many people do I actually have going there?

Not as many people is what view these videos, because they’ve ever gotten there already.

They haven’t gone there and they need to go there.

And so I say it over and over again because these things are out there forever.

That’s the best thing about internet content. So much of it can be put out there for people. Waiting is a trap.

The search engines are, they have your content sitting out there waiting for people to type in just the right thing for your information to pop up and for them to do what you want them to do.

But it takes repetition.

You got to say the things over and over and over again. If you’ve been watching these long enough, you’ll know that a lot of the concepts I talk about over and over and over again, but I use them.

I talk about them in a different way every time. I try to at least try to bring up new examples where it fits.

So hopefully this is helpful to you.

Go out and get and get your content out there and start really getting your message far and wide to people and encourage people to take the next step. Hey, you have a great night. Get out there and let the magic happen.

What is Customer Lifetime Value?

What is Customer Lifetime Value?

http://DreamBizChat.com

“Know and invest in each customer’s lifetime value.” ~ Les Wunderman

What is lifetime customer value?

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

Today we’re going to talk about lifetime customer value and it all has to do with a quote that I saw posted over on Rick Cesari’s Facebook page.

If you’re not sure who Rick Cesari is, I have his book right here. One of his books, he’s got quite a handful.

His newest book has to do with video marketing.

You can go and check that out over on amazon.com or on any of his pages. This was a great one that I read a few years back that was really helpful when I was first introduced to direct response marketing. And he had this post of a quote on his Facebook page and it was,

Know and invest in each customer’s lifetime value.

That’s a quote by Les Wunderman, another famous person within the world of marketing and sales.

I wanted to talk a little bit about customer lifetime value because it’s an essential quality of direct marketing or direct response marketing as we know it.

It’s something that isn’t discussed across the board. And it’s surprising. It isn’t because of how valuable it is.

So customer’s lifetime value, how can you possibly know what that is?

Well it comes down to quantifying it.

At some point you have to kind of figure out what your overall customer lifetime value is or at least within particular niches that you serve, depending on which ones you’re talking about. because you may have some that you have multiple purchases through or they get involved in some type of membership and they’re going to have a higher value than somebody who is just a onetime purchaser.

So, where does that take you?

What is customer lifetime value?

It’s about measuring not just on a transaction by transaction basis, but on a customer to customer basis.

How long do they stick with you?

How often do they purchase from you?

It’s not just about tracking it, it’s not just knowing but investing. That’s the cool thing about that quote. I.

t’s about investing into the lifetime value.

It’s about making things better for that customer so that they want to pay you more to get more of what you provide or for you to provide more things and you’re currently providing them.

Customer Centricity is a concept that we talked about in the past.

It’s an idea that if you put them first and you see it from their perspective and you can produce more value for them on a regular basis regardless of what industry you’re in, find out what the customer wants and get it to them.

If you can do more, they’re going to be more valuable to you in the long run and you’ll be able to then find more of them in.

In essence, it’s like I talk about taking that ideal customer, putting them in a copy machine and just copying them over and over and over again.

That’s where your marketing should be focused and where your entire business strategy should be focused is on making your customers more happy, having them be more satisfied, give them more, get them paying more and in turn going out and finding more customers just like them.

Instead of just doing blanket marketing instead of just trying to spread your name and logo around. Actually focusing on finding more of the ideal client and doing that, you’re going to have a happier business.

Everything will get better for you.

So that’s just how it works. I’ve seen it happen over and over again with the clients that I’ve worked with as well as other people that have found these things out on their own.

So if you’d like to be able to work with me or be able to find out some more about the services that I provide and be able to talk about some of these concepts as far as how they apply to your business, go to BrianJPombo.com.

Also, if you are in the self-reliance field, meaning you’ve got products and services that help people to become more self reliant, go to DreamBizChat.com.

At DreamBizChat.com there’s a little process called the dream business transformation that we discussed there. And you can go find out how you can get quite possibly a free dream business transformation.

Go to DreamBizChat.com link is in the description in case you didn’t have a pen or anything.

Hey, you have a great night. In the meantime, come back here every day. Get out there and let the magic happen.

Content Marketing: What’s Stopping You?

Content Marketing: What’s Stopping You?

http://DreamBizChat.com

Content Marketing: What’s stopping you?

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live. Today we’re going to cover some of the areas of content marketing and really what is the main concept that stops most of us from doing it.

I know for years and years I’ve helped other people build their own content marketing empires, help set them up in podcasting, help them set up and video marketing, help them set up basically a long-term blogging careers and so forth.

One of the main issues was getting my own self there and getting to the point to where I could start doing content marketing on a regular basis.

It was coming to this one conclusion and it was even a conclusion that I had thought of for years and years but never believed it completely and never really knew where that line was drawn.

That is the conclusion that good enough is good enough.

You know, you just need to get to a point to where you aren’t wanting everything just perfect.

Like this backdrop here. I didn’t have any of this stuff set up when I first started doing videos and I slowly just kind of have put it together over time.

It’s not exactly what I wanted it to be, but at least I got something to look at that’s behind me. Before I just started, I just grabbed my phone. I don’t have a wonderful camera or anything. I don’t even have the best internet connection for a live video like this.

But I do it anyways because it good enough is good enough.

It’s more important that I start putting things out there and do it on a regular basis versus waiting. because when you wait, nothing happens.

When no content gets out, nothing occurs for you.

Unless you have a reputation that you’re trying to save, then trying to keep your reputation or it’s even created, doesn’t matter much.

Getting your business out there and in the public eye and having people talk about it or at least having yourself talk about it or make reference to it in your content marketing is what matters most.

It’s a quantity over quality, especially in the early days, don’t worry about having everything perfect.

Gary Vaynerchuk talks about this a lot. Just getting a lot of stuff out there on an ongoing basis is what matters most right now in terms of actually trying to gain some form of attention.

So for example, I had sent out a message, I’d seen a quote earlier today, and I’m going to talk about that quote tomorrow, but you can go and find it over at BrianJPombo.com’s Facebook page.

I saw this quote that had been put out by a Rick Cesari.

Rick Cesari wrote this book. I spoken about this before, By Now. It’s an awesome book all about television, direct marketing.

He talks all about very specific stories in the lessons that he learned by working with, he was one of the ones in charge of setting up the George Foreman Grill in an infomercial. And Oxyclean and Sonicare and all these other famous things that the only reason why they’re famous is because he understood the process of how to go about building that.

Anyways, he had put a quote out and I shared this quote and when I shared this quote, I had some other people looking at it and enjoying it, but also Rick saw it himself, which is pretty cool. And he commented and liked like the fact that I shared it and he also liked BrianJPombo.com on Facebook.

So, hi Rick. Welcome to the welcome to the gang and happy to see you here. And there’s a lot of attention out there that you could be getting from either individual people or your mass market in general if you just get out there and get moving.

I had a lot of great ideas on content marketing and really the energy that you ought to be putting towards it comes from this book.

I’ve mentioned Austin’s work before, called Show Your Work, by Austin Kleon.

In the first chapter there’s a couple of great quotes that he sourced. One is from Charlie Chaplin, it says that, all of us are amateurs, we don’t live long enough to be anything else. A lot of times we want to be seen more professional and everything else. We want everything to be just right before we start putting out content.

That isn’t necessary.

You just need to start putting out the content.

There’s another great quote from a Dan Harmon, of animation fame, Rick & Morty and so on and so forth. Find your voice shouted from the rooftops and keep doing it until the people that are looking for you find you.

Those are just a couple quotes that I think apply to this when it comes to content marketing.

It’s about getting the process going first for you. So that you can find your voice and start developing things and start developing what you know is going to be necessary to move your brand, your product, your message ahead. And doing it in social media is a great way to start because not everyone’s necessarily watching right away and it gives you a chance to kind of work out all the bugs, which we’ve talked about in the past, so don’t, don’t delay it.

I was discussing this with Sean Douglas, who we talk about all the time here, even though he’s not always on the show.

Sean is our producer of the podcast Off The Grid Biz and also of Brian J. Pombo Live here. And when we were talking back and forth, we were talking about what kind of gets us stuck in this mode, wanting to have everything perfect and it occurred to us was that school did this. That really modern day school, especially in the United States, the way it’s set up, it encourages you striving for perfection and nothing else. Anything short of 100% on a test is not good. The further away you are from it, it’s worse and worse and worse and worse.

And you say, well, yeah, but how else would you deal with something like that?

Well, when it comes to being an entrepreneur and being a business owner, the idea of trying to get 100% right off the bat just isn’t going to happen.

The whole idea, people who are rewarded the most when it comes to business are people that act the most.

It’s the doers.

It’s getting out there, putting it out there over and over and over again. Even if you fall flat on your face and if you go F, F, F, F, D-, F , D plus C -, you know, you work yourself into something, but you start from the very bottom and the only way you get out of it is through action.

And I know, I know I got caught up in college not feeling like I can really move because I knew I couldn’t. I wasn’t able to hit the level I needed to hit to pass the class or do whatever else.

I couldn’t keep my focus.

There’s a million reasons for that, but the system trains you to not want to fail. What you should want to do is you should want to fail.

You should want to get out there, you shouldn’t want to fall on your face, and now you have the ability to do it and have a whole bunch of people see you.

But honestly, right off the bat, they’re not going to. People aren’t going to see you.

So get out there, start the process, put some stuff out there.

Yeah, you may have some friends that see you.

Yeah, you may have some people that know you that will see it, but beyond that, not a whole lot of people are going to see it right off the bat.

It gives you a chance to build on content and it doesn’t matter whether it’s video like we’re doing here or audio like we take video from this and put it out via podcast or whether you’re doing any type of writing online or pictures, any type of visual art that you would put out online.

All those things are the same concept. Just do it and do it over and over and over again.

Lay it all out there, see what comes back, see what type of results you get from it.

See what people are saying and see what you think about it and where you’re taking your message, what’s the end game with it.

So that’s just a little piece on content marketing.

Good enough is good enough, get things moving.

That’s what’s most important.

When I started realizing that everything started to grow for my business. So that’s just a little tip for you.

Go and check out DreamBizChat.com. Especially if you are in the self-reliance field and if you’re an owner or an executive of a business that helps people to become more self reliant through your products and services, go check out DreamBizChat.com. There’s a quick video there.

Do You Wait For the Muse?

Do You Wait For the Muse?

http://DreamBizChat.com

Do you wait for the muse?

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

Today we’re going to be talking about an issue that is most common with artists and so forth where they wait for the muse to enter their lives and to give them inspiration and I’m wondering whether you do the same thing either for your creativity or for your business or anything that you do professionally.

Do you wait for it to hit you?

We’re going to get into that a little bit, but first I wanted to give a quick little plug to DreamBizChat.com.

If you happen to be a business owner or an executive that’s in the self-reliance field, meaning you have products and services that help people become more self reliant, go to DreamBizChat.com the link is in the description.

There’s a quick video there to watch.

I’d love to hear what you think. If you’re interested in what it’s talking, fill out the application.

DreamBizChat.com, like I said, link is in the description.

So let’s talk about creativity and how it comes about. I’ve always been involved with creative things all through my life. I’m not that artistic of a person. I don’t have one of these things that I do really well that everyone looks to and goes, Ooh, ah, you know, but I’ve always been interested in creativity.

I’ve always been interested in artsy things.

I did theater and things like that in High School and everything else. I mean, I played football and everything too. I did everything.

But when you’re interested in those types of things, oftentimes the attitude is that you have to wait for it to come to you.

And if you do, it will come to you eventually. If you’re waiting for it, whether you’re creating a piece of art, whether it be form of creation, it’s going to eventually hit you on its own. If you let it.

The problem is you’re always on IT’S schedule.

You’re always waiting for some inspiration to come out of the ether and hit you.

One thing I found out, I found this out relatively later in life. It doesn’t need to work that way.

I didn’t know that.

I thought it had to work that way. I thought you had to wait for these types of things, but there’s a lot of people who do this. When I started producing podcasts, started doing video chats like the one we’re doing here today, that if I have it in my schedule, the creativity shows up.

It just comes, it comes naturally.

Once I start putting pen to paper, if I’m talking about writing, the late great Gary Halbert who was a marketing guru, he said that you just got to start writing. You just got to start putting pen to paper.

If that’s your goal is to become a good writer.

You just have to start writing.

And I’m not sure if he’s the one that mentioned it or if it was someone else. It doesn’t matter. Even if you write down nonsense words or you just wiggle your pin on the piece of paper, just start the process and eventually something will start coming out and eventually those things that’ll come out will take form.

The more you train, it’s a habit. You can train your brain to be creative at a certain time of day or a certain time of the week or or what have you.

You can train it to happen every time on command and it may not start up immediately.

It may take a couple minutes to get going, but you can do it and you can train yourself to tap into that part wherever it is in your mind and pull out what’s needed for creativity.

Now, it doesn’t mean you’re going to be the best every time, but you’re going to create so much more than you would have otherwise and you will find patterns and systems to be able to build off of that.

Now I look down on my notes because I wrote down some ideas about this. Habits are a big thing about that and having some form of a schedule, if there’s any way that you can set aside a little bit of time for creativity, for whatever you need to be creative about and test out different things.

If you’re just trying to produce content, like when it comes to your business and so forth, like we’ve talked about before, try out doing video.

It doesn’t matter whether you show anyone the videos, try out recording your voice.

Doesn’t matter if anyone ever gets to hear it. Just start going through the process, try out writing, try out doing it by hand or try typing in a computer so one of these things is going to appeal to you more than another and you ought to stick to that and start doing it on a regular basis.

If you do, you’ll get better and better and the creativity will flow on its own. You’ll see it.

It really does work. I never believed that, like, really only the last couple of years have I started doing this and it’s really had a huge effect and I could see that if I did it in more areas of my life, I’d have an even better effect.

Now you can see examples of this out there. I was talking with Sean Douglas, the producer of our podcasts, and he was saying that Adam Sandler, his production company puts out real similar movies, cookie cutter movies, and then they’ll expand out into other areas.

Like they started doing kids’ movies and everything else, but they find a formula and they pounded out one right after the other.

You’ve got a lot of people that will complain, well, those are just garbage movies. Well, yeah, but look at all the people that watch them, look at all people that pay for the tickets and everything else. I mean, that’s pretty impressive.

Also, James Patterson who writes books and I don’t know how many he writes a year, I think he puts out a couple a year, if not every other year.

But it’s consistent. I mean, the guy has, I don’t know, hundreds of books.

Go and look it up, James Patterson, and look at the fact that they’re all best sellers.

He hits it time after time after time again, he’s found a pattern. He stuck with it.

He doesn’t wait for the muse to hit him.

He just produces and he produces and he produces where you compare that to the a writer of Game of Thrones.

What was his name? George RR Martin or whatever.

He still hasn’t finished the books and they put out the TV show.

The TV show went faster than he did and he never finished the books in time because he’s waiting for the muse to hit him. I believe he’s made statements similar to that out there. So don’t be like that.

If you can try and be a producer, it doesn’t matter if you produce a whole bunch of garbage, you’re going to produce more gold in the long run by just getting active, get in the movement and start producing and don’t wait for the news.

Hey, I hope this was helpful for you. Come on back. Tomorrow we’re going to have another talk.

I want to talk about the same type of thing tomorrow as far as what it takes to actually get something moving.

If you haven’t started moving yet, what that’s going to take and what’s one thing that might get in your way?

We’ll talk about that tomorrow. In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

Undercover Billionaire secret lesson #10.

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live and today we’re dealing with the Undercover Billionaire secret lesson number 10.

So we already did one through nine. If you want to see those, go to BrianJPombo.com and check that out.

You can also check out out those right here, more than likely you’ll be able to see the links to those videos in the description.

Along with that, you’ll also see a link to DreamBizChat.com if you are a business owner or an executive that is in the self-reliance field, meaning that you have products and services through your business that help people become more self reliant, go check out DreamBizChat.com link is in the description and a or you could type it in directly and get straight there.

Let me know what you think when you get there.

We’re going to talk about the undercover billionaire, the Undercover Billionaire TV show, if you haven’t got to see it, the first season just aired in late 2019.

It’s over on the Discovery Channel. Now, the whole concept of the show is that this person that is supposedly a billionaire or these close to it is setting all of his safeties and all of all the things that have made him a billionaire, setting them aside and moving forward with nothing more than a pickup truck, a cell phone without any contacts and a hundred dollar bill.

And he has to start and has 90 days to build a company from scratch up to million dollars. So how’s he go about doing this?

How does this all work?

Well, you’ve got to go and watch the show to really find out. It’s a very interesting show and there’s a lot of great concepts and I covered a lot of those in the lead up up till now.

The first nine videos. And there’s a lot within the show where he comes straight out and says, hey, this is the lesson here, this is a lesson there.

And goes through what he sees as some of the fine finer points that he’s displaying during the whole storyline during the documentary.

Now what I went and did is kind of pulled out some of the things that I don’t think he put as fine a point on that I or that I thought needed repeating at least.

This 10th one is one that you will not see there or probably behind the scenes or anywhere else. And although there has been some chat here and there and that’s what value did he have that he could not get rid of.

What are the things that were valuable that were never discussed but were extremely useful to what he’s done or what he was close to being able to do or what he achieved. I mean, you got to watch the show to see if he actually made it to a million and what did he have that made that possible?

That was could be slightly invisible to most people.

One of the main things he has is he has the confidence and you cannot throw away a person’s belief in whether they can do something or not.

Now a person will tell you that has made it somewhere.

They said, well, I believed before I made it happen, before I was able to become a millionaire or billionaire, I believed it was possible and I absolutely agree with them.

I know that they believed it, but the toughest thing for most people to be able to achieve any type of financial success is a lack of belief. There’s always a piece there that they just don’t fully believe that they can do it or that they’re in the right situation or that the powers that be aren’t going to get in their way.

He already had that belief.

He had that confidence from his previous experience.

That’s not something he could just take out and set aside. He had it. He knew it was possible. He knew that he can go about doing this.

Without the deadline, there’s no doubt in my mind and anyone that watches it can see that he’d be able to do what he needed to do. It may have taken longer if he didn’t have a deadline and if he didn’t have some of these things, that he couldn’t set aside.

So one of the things he could not set aside was when it came to legal purchases, there’s no way he’d be able to use a fake name like he was using most of the time he was using a different last name.

He was basically using his middle name, his last name, and he can’t do that when he went about and bought a house and quite possibly, he probably didn’t get away with that when he was renting an apartment.

More than likely they’d want to see some ID and so forth. So none of that’s possible.

He had to use his real name in those situations, that just legally and every other way he had to do that. And when purchasing a house, especially since he did not have a full time job, he didn’t have any form of assets other than some hard cash that he had developed during the show.

He had really no backing to be able to get a good deal on a loan for his house. The only way he could have done that was by being who he was and having his background.

Now that doesn’t take away the idea that it’s possible that a person can’t go and jump from trading cars to eventually trading houses and, or flipping houses or anything like that.

That’s absolutely possible.

But it would take you a little longer.

It may require you to have a full time job or to build up enough capital to be able to get that type of alone.

Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to do something like that. And they kind of glossed that over and that’s kind of necessary for the sake of the TV show.

So he had confidence that he couldn’t ever set aside.

It’s something that’s very valuable and that’s something that you can create yourself. He had financial backing, credit and so forth that he couldn’t set aside and to be able to purchase a home with a lone.

He had that ability that not everyone would be able to do right off the bat, okay.

So those pieces aside, there’s a third thing that he had that is extremely powerful that all you had to do was kind of step back and say, wait a second…..

He had media presence, the entire time that we’re watching him.

We know because we wouldn’t to be able to watch them.

If there wasn’t someone with a camera and the way it was filmed, you know, there were multiple cameras and in some parts of the show they’ve pulled back and even showed that on top of there being cameras, there was a producer or director or someone hanging out and making sure that the camera people were doing the right thing.

So he had a crew following him around.

Now how they built that into the stories, he told people that he was working on documentary, but that’s powerful.

That form of media draws attention.

That form of media could possibly have cause people to do something for free that they wouldn’t normally do because they’re in the public eye and they know that this is, this might be going somewhere.

This is a documentary.

That means I’m going to be in a movie, I’m going to be on TV, I’m going to be out there.

And that could be useful to me.

Everyone around him saw that they couldn’t get around it. Whether he was working in the homeless shelter on the first episode or, excuse me, not a homeless shelter. It’s was a soup kitchen.

Or whether he was gathering people to help out or whether he was going to the small business agency, all these things.

Everyone is going to treat you differently when you’ve got cameras around you.

Now, how could you use this?

How could you use these things?

Well, number one, you have to keep an eye on your own belief system and your own confidence level. You have to think about what it’s gonna take to develop your belief and confidence so that you can have as close to the confidence of a billionaire before you set out to go and do something, even if it’s not going out to create $1 million company.

Number two, realize that it’s going to take time to build up those things that he already had going.

It took him years to build up his credit lines and everything else to be able to do the things that he’s able to do pretty simply and pretty quickly on this show.

And number three, MEDIA is something you can develop. Look at what I’m doing right here.

This is media.

I can introduce people onto this show, which we haven’t done a whole lot yet because we’ve been doing them live.

But in the future I’d like to have interviews.

I like to have other people on the show. If you’d like to be on the show, let me know. But we’d like to have other people on the show who, who’s going to turn that down.

If they have any message that they’re trying to get out, any business that they’re trying to promote, then media is your friend.

You’re going to want to be around it and so and nowadays we have the ability to create our own media.

We can do it with our cell phones.

We could have a podcast, we could do anything we want because of the internet.

It’s making it wide open.

You can have people walk around with cameras, whether they’re running or not, and say that you’re filming a documentary, you’re going to get a reaction similar to the ones that he got.

So just keep these things in mind just because they are advantages that he had doesn’t take away from the points.

The very clear cut points and principles that are laid out throughout the show.

Highly recommend it can’t say enough about Undercover Billionaire. Go and watch that show and go and check out all the other videos we got over at BrianJPombo.com and come back again.

We’re doing this thing every day where we get together and have a little chat. Hey, you have a great night. In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

Lesson #8 – https://brianjpombo.com/undercover-billionaire-secret-lesson-8/

Undercover Billionaire secret lessons number nine.

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live. Today we’re going to be dealing with the secret lesson number nine from the TV show Undercover Billionaire, which played late last year over on the Discovery Channel.

You can find out more about that show by looking it up separately or you can watch some of the earlier episodes here of our secret lessons. We’ve already done one through eight.

This is number nine and I think we’re going to stop on number 10 because I got a very special thing that really was not mentioned, which is the hidden attributes that he could not get rid of, within the last, well, within the whole series of Undercover Billionaire.

He had to have a few hidden attributes that you could not do without, but were so valuable to the overall storyline and were never mentioned during the show.

We’re going to talk about that tomorrow, so be sure and come back for that one.

But today I’m going to deal with number nine, which has to do with that human capital concept that we talked about earlier in the earlier episodes.

Now there’s a secret that he mentions in the later episodes, I believe it’s around episode six or seven when he came across a particular person that joined the team and he said, we’re going to find a place for this person on our team. And he said, when you find somebody that has real talent that has real value you, it doesn’t matter if you have a position for them, you need to find a position for them.

You need to make up a position if necessary to include them in your team, to bring them along on your journey. And this was something that occurred in the storyline.

So you’ve got to go watch the show to see what I’m talking about. But it occurred and it made really clear to me that there were these handful of people that I had over on the back burner that I’ve always checked in with here and there, but it’s about 10 people in my life that I have that are just special people.

They’re just fabulous people and I want to do something with them.

It doesn’t mean I want to hire them as an employee or I want them as a business partner or anything of that sort, but there’s some place that I need them. Eventually we’re going to work together.

I just have a feeling and it’s just when I’m around them, I feel energized.

They have a good spirit about them, at least on the outside. Maybe after I get to know them better, you start to see the faults and all the warts, like they say, but I have these people in my life that I know that eventually we’re going to work together.

So I tried to touch base with them over and over again. If you’re one of those that’s watching, you know you’re one of those people that I won’t let go of and I’ll always check in with you and I’ve got a lot of people that I always check in with, but there’s a handful of people business wise, I’ve always gotten the back of my mind.

These are people that I’m going to find a spot for eventually as I move ahead and I want you to keep your eyes out for the same thing.

If you don’t already know those type of people, those people that you connect with that have real value, they bring value to the table.

Oftentimes they have a work ethic that’s just automatic. You can just see that they work a little differently. They have a little bit of a different flair than most other people do and these are the people that you’ve got to make sure you write them down.

Make a list of these people.

Don’t forget about them because it’s real easy as you go through your weeks and months and everything else to kind of fall away from your past and forget about some of these real special people that you probably eventually are going to need around you in some way or form.

And nowadays with online communication, I know most of the communication that I do with people long distance, either with clients and so forth. I do through a zoom app, I’m not sure if you’ve seen zoom, it says zoom.us.

It’s probably one of the best formats that I’ve seen that works across whether you use a Mac, whether you’re using a cell phone, whether you’re using a PC.

Whatever the format you’re able to communicate with someone very clearly and pretty simply, you could find out more. It’s a free app, over at zoom.us.

They have a paid version too, which is one of the things that I use because I use it so often, but it’s highly valuable.

Definitely something if you haven’t used it, it’s really more of a modern day, probably one of the better versions of something like Skype.

So when you have something like that, you have the ability to communicate and connect with people at long distances, anywhere around the world.

You can connect with them when you have things like this in ways that telephones have always been been around for a long time and you know, you’ve always had that ability.

But having to get that face to face is so powerful and having real high quality video like we have available to us nowadays is really useful. So don’t lose track of people.

Don’t hesitate to set up times to reconnect with people regardless of where they are and find a way to include them in your team, if not now in the future.

Don’t lose track of those people with high talent.

If you’re anything like me, you’re around enough people to know that the really good ones are tough to come by.

Everybody’s got their own thing. Everybody’s got their own value.

I’m not saying they don’t, but the ones that connect the most with you are going to be rare. So don’t lose track of them.

Why do I do these videos?

I do these videos on a daily basis talking about business concepts, talking about something, either a theory or something more specific and tactical that can help your business. And we do these on a daily basis.

I do these one to be able to get these ideas out there, to kind of generate them and for myself, to be able to actually help some people who may not get the help otherwise or be in contact with somebody that they really feel they connect with.

And one of the three main reasons is so that I can get my message out there.

So if you’d like to find out more about what I do, go to BrianJPombo.com I’m a business strategist. I help businesses go to the next level and I do it from long distance.

I’ve got private clients and so forth that I work with. And you can find out more at BrianJPombo.com if you happen to be in the self reliance field, meaning you’ve got products and services that help people to become more self reliant and you’re a decision maker at the company, meaning you’re the owner or you’re an executive or something of that sort, go to DreamBizChat.com.

That link is directly in the description wherever you’re watching or listening to this DreamBizChat.com. There’s a quick video there that could be very helpful to you and if you think that I’d be able to help you out with the concept that I’m talking about.

There an application you can fill out right there at DreamBizChat.com.

So hopefully you have a great night. Come on back again tomorrow for the last and final secret lesson of the Undercover Billionaire and we will come back here, go through it again with like I said, a very special one tomorrow, something you won’t find anywhere else.

The discussion that I’ve had with other people about this, the same storyline, it’s pretty good stuff.

Hey, you have a great night. In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

Undercover Billionaire lesson number eight.

Hi, I’m Brian Pobo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

I’m going to cover the secret lesson number eight that I learned from watching Undercover Billionaire of the TV show from Discovery Channel.

You can find all the other lessons that we’ve discussed up until this point, I’ll have them linked down below so you could watch those other ones.

So you can also find the rest on BrianJPombo.com and all of this is brought to you by DreamBizChat.com. If you’re a business owner or executive that’s looking to take your business to the next level, go check out DreamBizChat.com. The link is in the description as well.

Hey, let’s talk about a very specific lesson that is encapsulated in the concept of Undercover Billionaire itself. And what it is is he gave himself 90 days to achieve basically to build something up to the value of $1 million.

So what he’s doing, he’s building a business to a million dollar business within a 90 day period.

And what is that? What happens when you, when you say something that’s specific and you put a date on it, you put a specific date and time on it. It’s a goal.

That’s the definition of a goal and that very solid goal setting concept drives the entire show and it drives everything behind what Glenn Stearns is trying to accomplish.

The real problem with it is that he can’t bring the rest of them in on why he needs to have it done in 90 days.

Why does all this have to be accomplish?

Because he can’t say it. He can’t bring more people in fully into that goal and the reason behind the goal and the meaning behind it and so it loses a little bit of an effect there but you can see all the time that is his main focus and so he doesn’t let the little things and all the stuff that falls apart throughout the entire series.

He doesn’t let any of those things get in the way because his main focus is hitting that 90 day goal, hitting that the value number of $1 million and getting to that specific goal with that business in the 90 day period.

That’s powerful.

This is why you really need to have a day and a specific goal that you’re trying to accomplish. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a a value, it doesn’t need to be a dollar amount, but it doesn’t need to be that type of specific.

I would recommend having something that has a numerical value because it’s very black and white. It’s clear cut.

It’s not something that you could kind of go, well maybe you made it, maybe you didn’t make it. You don’t want it to be like that. It’s gotta be clear. If it’s clear, then you know whether you made it or not.

If you didn’t make it, you’ll know by how much you’ll know where to reset the goal from that this is a very specifically a business concept that it’s irreplaceable.

You can’t get a whole lot of people on a team together if there isn’t a very clear understanding of where the finish line is, where we’re starting from, where the finish line is and how long do we have to get there.

Simple concept.

We’ve talked about it a lot on this channel and and our daily discussions.

Hey, come on back again for another talk because I’ve got a few more ideas.

We’re talking Undercover Billionaire and then beyond that we’re going to talk about all types of things, both principles, strategies, and tactics that will help you build your business faster, stronger, and do it in a better way.

Do it in a more meaningful way to you and make it all worthwhile. So hopefully that’s helpful today.

Hey, in the meantime, we’re going to see you back here next time, but in the meantime, you have a great night and get out there and let the magic happen.

Undercover Billionaire secret number seven. The secret lessons from Undercover Billionaire.

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live. We’ve been covering a series of lessons, secret lessons that things that I caught and people I know caught from the TV show Undercover Billionaire.

You can see the trailer running here in the background underneath me, you can watch it on video and we’re discussing some of the lessons up until this point.

I’ve come up with six. I have a seventh one for you right here. Now the whole idea behind Undercover Billionaire, if you want to find out more, you can go look it up. It’s on the Discovery Channel and it was a show that they had on this last year, late in 2019. You can go back, watch the whole series, I believe it’s eight or nine episodes long.

Go and watch it because really worth watching. You can find out more about the details by watching the other videos that I’ve done on this. But I want to get into point number seven because whether you’ve seen this or not, it’s a great point to keep in mind if you are a business owner, or if you’re managing a business, if you’re some sort of executive and you’re in charge of employees or some type of a working staff of some sort, there’s always a temptation to not only lead the pack but to micromanage.

What’s micromanaging?

Micromanaging is when you get right in it and you focus on all the details of how they’re performing as opposed to focusing on what the result is that you want them to achieve.

Now this is one of the things that Glenn Stearns does throughout the show is when he’s working with people, when he’s bringing people on board onto his team, he gives them something very specific to do.

He’s after a result. He doesn’t care as much how they do it. He doesn’t get a whole lot in the way into how it is accomplished.

He just wants to make sure that the result is accomplished when it isn’t accomplished.

He ends up with excuses and everything else that we talked about before. You’ve got to really stay away from making excuses because that could, that could just cause as long-term trouble in it.

It just gives off the victim hood mentality and that’s one of the things that when he starts butting heads with people, it has usually has to do with that. It’s usually someone making an excuse for the fact that they could not provide a single, a specific result.

Focus on that.

If you’ve got employees, if you’ve got people that you’re working with, don’t micromanage them, don’t get into the nitty gritty of how they do everything.

Focus on their result.

Are they achieving the result or aren’t they achieving the result?

You might be able to help them out on certain specifics, especially if it’s a job that you’ve performed before or have some knowledge of. Try not to get the details of trying to micromanage every little detail.

It drives people nuts and you never have somebody that can help you in the long run. If you’re focused on all the details of what they’re doing versus the result, the end result that you’re hiring them to achieve.

If you can let them come about it on their own and find the the way to the result on their own, they may find a way that you haven’t thought of and it builds confidence in what they’re doing, confidence in where they’re going with it.

It just adds to an overall belief that works across the board, especially if you’re working with someone long-term.

So it’s something to keep in mind, whether they’re a partner or whether they’re an employee.

If you’re working with people, try to focus on results versus micromanaging the details, all the little tactics that they’re involved in. So just a quick lesson.

We’re going to keep going through a few more of these. I’ve got a handful more that I’d like to cover with you before we move onto a different topic.

But we’re every day come on back.

You can check out earlier videos on BrianJPombo.com. You can also, if you are a business owner or an executive in the self-reliance field, meaning you’ve got products and services that help people to become more self reliant.

I’m going to encourage you to go to DreamBizChat.com.

DreamBizChat.com. Go and watch the video there. I’d love to hear what you think the link is in the description and just come back here tomorrow.

In the meantime, just have a great night and get out there and let the magic happen.
